Using substitution method, what's the answer of these? x - y = 6  and  2x + 3y = -3  (steps by steps po) Sorry po  I hate math talaga :3 and I'm not listening to our teacher while she is discussing our lesson lol. XD

Sagot :

x - y = 6  ----equation 1
2x + 3y = -3  -----equation 2
from equation 1 you'll have:
x - y = 6
x = 6 + y ------equation 3
substitute equation 3 to equation 2
2x + 3y = -3
2(6+y) + 3y = -3
12 + 2y + 3y = -3
2y + 3y = -3 - 12
5y = -15
y = -3
substitute to equation 3
x = 6 + y
x = 6 + (-3)
x = 3
