x(3x+2)= 56
3x^2+2x=56
3x^2+2x-56=0
(3x+14)(x-4)

3x+14= 0        x-4=0
3x=-14            x=4

since, we are finding the length and width, we should get the positive one which is
 4

l=3x+2            w=x
   3(4)+2          w=4
   12+2
l=14

a=lw
   14(4)
 =56cm^2
