Benedict's solution is used to determine the presence of sugar in a certain serum, in this case is urine. A positive result of the presence of glucose is manifested when it changes from blue to orange to brick red.
If the solution turns orange, then there is approximately 1,500 - 2,000 mg/dl of glucose in the urine.
