- The inverse of sine is actually something called arc-sine. This means that sin(arc-sin(x)) = arc-sin(sin(x)) = x for a certain, small, interval. What I mean is that sine is not actually an invertible function because "it does not pass the horizontal line test"
Cosecant is just 1/sine and cosine is a shift of sine, i.e. sin(x) = cos(x - pi/2)
