1. A solution is prepared by mixing 20 g. of sodium chloride and 18 g. of water. What are the concentrations of solute and the solvent in % by mass?

% mass = mass(part} / total mass x 100%

% mass(NaCl) = 20g / 38g x 100 % = 52.63 %
