Explanation:
My answer might sound ironic since I am a broadcast journalist, but I prefer reading the newspaper over watching the news on television. In fact, outside of work, I do not watch any kind of television at all. Unless somebody is already watching something and I happen to be present in the same room.
With a newspaper, there is space for so much more information. For example, a regional channel will not focus too much on the rest of the country. A national channel won't focus on the rest of the world. A regular news channel won't cover much of business or sports. You then have to switch to a business news channel or a sports channel to get relevant news. But a newspaper packs in everything.
Also, I love reading. So that's that.
