the graph is 
all the 0 to -4 number 
you just subtitute it to the a 

if x is 0 the point is -1
if x is -1 the point is -3
then -5
then -7
then -9

so that

the graph is linear
the point is
(0.-1) (-1,-3)(-2,-5)(-3.-7)(-4,-9)

I have showed it to the other question you asked. What I answered was this:

a < [tex] \frac{1}{2} [/tex]

It can be graphed on the number line like this:

<------------------------------------------------Ф----------------------------------------------->
                                               0             [tex] \frac{1}{2} [/tex]

                             a < [tex] \frac{1}{2} [/tex]

Take note that 1/2 is not included that is why I put a symbol above 1/2 that tells that it 1/2 is not included.
