I am not sure of what you meant, but if the Mayon Volcano erupted in 2001 and it has already 48 recorded eruptions, then, it is an active volcano. Why active? It is because active volcanoes are classified to the volcanoes that have erupted for the past 50 years. 2001 is part of the past 50 years so the Mayon Volcano is an active volcano.
