Chromatin is composed of nucleosomes which is combination of a complex DNA and protein (histones). It also represents DNA folded by nucleoproteins by magnitude of 50 and approximately 10 nm in diameter per microfiber.
While chromosomes are condensed chromatin fibers and a higher order of DNA organization.
