3x + 4y = 205

2x + 3y = 145

Subtract both equations

x + y = 60

Multiply the equation by 3

3x + 3y = 180

Subtract 3x + 3y = 180 to 3x + 4y = 205

y = 25

Since we already found y we can now also find x.

3x + 4y = 205

3x + 4(25) = 205

3x = 205 - 100 = 105

x = 105/3 = 35

Therefore, x = 35 and y = 25
