How about doing an experiment using red & violet litmus paper then you will try to determine if it is acid or base? Suggestion only :) Hope this may help :)
Try this: 1.Mix vinegar and milk, you will see something cool 2.Add metals(in powder) to an aluminum paper and then heat the metal(in powder), it will cause fireworks =)
