The Metric system is quite different than the English system because in the present times, we use rulers that gives the exact measure of a given item. While the metric system, people from the past used their hands or shoulders to measure the item. The disadvantage of the metric system is that it is not exact because people are different according to size, weight, etc. Therefore each measurement is not enough.
