Electrical fires cannot be safely put out by dousing them with water. However, fire extinguishers that spray solid carbon dioxide on the fire work very effectively. How this method works?

it happens because the f.e.has ability to loss the oxygen
if it has not oxygen  the f.e. can prevent the fire to be more huge or it can't spread
