The symbol of speed is sometimes "s" but generally speed=velocity which symbol is "v". The formula is distance divided by time equals velocity.
[tex] v=\frac{d}{t} [/tex]. So if someone drove 10 miles in 2 minutes, it would be [tex] \frac{10}{2} =5(v)[/tex]
