Harry planned a rectangular garden that was 40 feet long and 10 feet wide. Suppose Harry decided to change the shape of his garden to a square with the same area as the rectangle. What would be the perimeter, in feet, of the square garden? Show or explain how you got your answer

=  (40+10)/2
= 25
perimeter = 25*4 =  100ft
note:  the area of the rectangle = 10*40 = 400sqft
         the area of the square = 25*25 = 625sqft
 so if you have a certain length of rope, the largest
 area you can fence up is actually a circle
