converting 2 5/6  and 1 1/6 to improper fraction you'll have:
[2(6) + 5]/6 = 17/6
[1(6) + 1]/6 = 7/6
NOTE that 1 dozen = 12
getting the number of ducks you'll have:
17/6 x 12 = 34 ducks
getting the number of chicken you'll have:
7/6 x 12 = 14 chicken
