6x-5+x=2+8x plz i need answers now this is my project

Sagot :

6x-5+x=2+8x
combine like terms and move the terms at the left side of the equal sign
7x-5=2+8x
7x-8x-5-2=0
-x-7=0
-x=7
-(-x)=-(7)
x=-7

To check:
6(-7) - 5 + (-7) = -54
2+8(-7) = 54
