3 hours while Mimi can type the same manuscript in  5 hours. How long will it take them to

        Mimi can do it for 5 hours then the rate is 1/5
to get the number of hours you'll have the equation:
rate x time = work
let 't' be the number of hours
1/3t + 1/5t = 1
8/15t = 1
t = 15/8 or 1.875hrs
