Rocks will serve as a habitat for small plants that provides them with steady and strong anchorage, and also provides them with nutrients that the plants need since rocks are composed  of minerals which are released when the small plants release certain substances that can dissolve parts of the rock, the plants then absorb those minerals that they need

Small Plants need Rocks. Because sometimes rock protect them from being disturbed/destroyed. Small plants get Minerals/Nutrients from rocks. Thats why sometimes the root of plants sticks with the rock.
