How to reduce. The sum to lowest term whenever. Possible 1/5+3/10+1/3

Sagot :

get first the lcd of them then just add and finally get their lowest term
get their LCD or the LCM of their denominator
  example: 5=5,10,15,20,25,30
                10=10,20,30                                                      their LCM is 30
                 3=3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27,30
divide their LCD to their numerator
   example:30/5=6    30/10=3     30/3=10
then multiply the quotient to their numerator
    example: 6*1=6   3*3=9   10*1=10
6,9 and 10 are the numerator then copy the LCD
    example:  6/30+9/30+10/30
add the numerator then copy the denominator
     example:6+9+10= 25/30

the reduce if possible
find the numerator's and denominator's  GCF
     example: 25= 1,5,25
                    30=1,2,3,5,6,10,15,30            their GCF is 5
divide the numerator and denominator with their GCF
    example: 25/5=5   30/5=6
copy the new answer
    example: 5/6
