1. Find the sum( with solution)
a) The sum of the first 17 terms of the geometric sequence with first term 6 and common ratio 3.

the formula for the sum would be "Sn=(a(1-r^n)/(1-r)" since the common ratio ( r )=3, number of terms (n)=17 and the first term ( a ) = 6 , we substitute it to the formula then we will get the sum (Sn)=-387420486. Solution: Sn=(6(1+3^17)/(1-3)=(-774840972)/(-2)=-387420486
