Based on El Filibusterismo, Jose Rizal views independence
from the Spaniards highly important and necessary as human freedom. This
situation may seem a little different to his previous work in Noli Me Tangere
where he seemed to put utmost importance to having reforms in the Spanish
governance of the Philippines instead of absolute independence and freedom.
