Let the capacity of the car tank be x
[tex] \frac{3}{5} x-6= \frac{9}{20} x[/tex]
[tex]-6= \frac{9}{20}x- \frac{3}{5} x[/tex]
[tex]-6=- \frac{3}{20} x[/tex]
multiply both side by [tex]- \frac{20}{3} [/tex]
[tex]40=x[/tex]

Therefore the car tank can hold 40 liters when full
