a pipe can fill a swimming pool in10hrs.if a second pipe is opened,the two pipes together can fill the poolin 4hrs.how long would it take the second pipe alone to fill the pool?

Pipe A and B together can fill [tex] \frac{1}{4} [/tex] of the pool in an hour
Pipe B can fill
[tex] \frac{1}{4} - \frac{1}{10} = \frac{5-2}{20} = \frac{3}{20} [/tex] of the pool in an hour

Pipe B will take [tex] \frac{20}{3} =6 \frac{2}{3} [/tex] hours or 6 hours and 40 minutes alone
