- Together with water, carbon dioxide is released as a waste product during an aerobic respiration.
How is it created?
- During the respiration, oxygen is used for the breakdown of glucose, As the glucose is being broken down, carbon dioxide is released.
To represent this, an equation will be given for further representation:
C6H12O6 + 6O2 → 6CO2 + H2O + energy
glucose + oxygen → carbon dioxide + water + energy
Glucose will be broken down as ATP and the remaining products will be Carbon Dioxide and water.
