do you mean quadratic equation using factoring method?
ex.
x²-3x=10 just tranpose those on the right to the left
x²-3x-10=0
then look for the factors of x²... so it will be
(x )(x )=0 then look for factors of -10 ...that when you multiply them you will get -10 and when you add them you will get -3... so the factors are -5 and +2
so the answer there is
(x-5)(x+2)=0
