Why is that it takes time for sugar to melt in water if it is not stirred?

Because it has factorss: 1st temperature,2nd the surface of the substance which is the sugar,last the stirring(also a factor)

Maybe because the molecules of the sugar takes time to separate or dissolve into the water.
