How do you do factoring with general quadratic trinomials

Sagot :

to factor trinomials with 1 as the numerical coefficient of the leading term:
1 factor the leading term  of the trinomial and write these as the leading term of the factors.
2 list down all the factors of the last term.
3 identify which factor pair sum up to the middle term;then
4 write factor pairs as the last term of the binomial factors.
ex.
   1. xsquared + 10x + 16
      answer =  (x + 2 ) (X + 8)
hope it helps :)

Ex: x²+11x+28
      desired sum: 11
      product: 28

think 2 integers that if you add.. the answer is 11 and if you multiply, the answer is 28

integers: 7 and 4

factors: (x+7) (x+4)
