Understatment would be the opposite if hyperbole, or exaggeration.
An example would be 'that typhoon was some sprinkle'.
A hyberbole is used alot, and exaggerates alot and idk how to explain it.
An example would be 'I'm so hungry I could eat a horse.' or 'I waited forever for him.'
