Pluto's characteristics doesn't fit anymore to the new definition of a planet, that's why in the year 2006 the IAU or International Astronomical Union decided and voted to downgrade and change the status of Pluto from planet into a dwarf planet.
• Pluto is too far away from the Sun, and doesn't have an established orbit, like any other planets.
• Pluto wasn't able to clear out its path of orbit, from small chunks of other debris and celestial bodies.
