Rules for adding integers
LIKE SIGNS: ( + ) + ( + ) or ( - ) + ( - )
Find the sum of their absolute values and use the sign common to both integers.
UNLIKE SIGNS: ( + ) + ( - ) or ( - ) + ( + )
Find the difference of their absolute values and use the sign of the integer with the greater absolute value.
