CHOCOLATE MILK: Yes or No
Is it better to let chocolate milk flood your school? Or is it better for us to give children to have the choice? I believe that that schools should serve chocolate milk but, only on certain days and kids who have to go to more time shouldn’t get any chocolate milk during that day. I suggest that you should serve chocolate milk but only on certain days because chocolate milk has nutrients which help children grow to be healthy adults. However, chocolate has a lot of sugars which can lead to many diseases and can make kids overweight.
One reason why we should serve chocolate milk but only on certain days is because chocolate milk has nutrients which help children grow to be healthy adults. According to Tanenbaum “chocolate milk is higher in sugar and calories than non-flavored milk, but some kids simply refuse to drink plain milk,” but if your child likes chocolate milk give them it because chocolate milk still has milk in it. Also chocolate milk is the same as white milk for example in the article by Tarenworth, he states that, ”Chocolate milk has the same 9 essential nutrients as white milk.” So why have white milk and not chocolate milk if they are the same. Also, according to Midwest Dairy milk has," protein, vitamin A,D and calcium," which is awesome for a kid's health. If it has a lot of nutrients, why would you want to get rid of it. Furthermore Ochs states that kids who drink flavored milk meet," more of their nutrients needs," so it provides the nutrients kids need. lastly although chocolate milk is banned from many schools, I think it doesn’t matter what others do: Wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it, right is right even if no one is doing it. Also Va schools would reintroduce chocolate after they banned it.
