The following are rules to follow when changing direct speech to reported speech, except one.

Pronouns in a direct speech should be changed in order for the meaning of the reported speech to be the same.
B.
When changing direct speech to reported speech, make sure that the exact words of the original speaker are still included in the converted form.
C.
When you convert a direct speech to a reported speech, you usually use the past tense.
D.
If there is a change in the place being referred to, you must also change the place in the reported speech.
