Our hypothalamus is located within our brain. It's job is to control the endocrine system. As you know, yung endocrine system natin is responsible for the production and release of hormones sa body. Hormones are responsible for many functions and/or changes. Like sa reproductive system, our hormones are responsible for producing more sperm (male) at responsible naman siya for the stimulation of growth ng egg cells (hence, may part din siya sa pregnancy). Dun sa part ng liver, all I know is pag may excess sa hormone levels makakadamage ito sa liver.
Maraming functions ang endocrine system but it wouldn't be possible without the brain (which is a part of the nervous system) at nerves (which send information throughout our body.

I think by now you know kung ano yung positive at negative feedback mechanisms. If our bodily amount of glucose drops, our body sends signals using the nervous system to produce more glucose sa blood (positive feedback) using the pancreas. If mataas ang level ng glucose sa blood, then our body sends signals to hinder the production of more glucose (negative feedback). If the pancreas fails to do its job, one example of sickness is diabetes.
