Why is it important to consider that generation gaps are not merely superficial?

•Each generation is different in various ways. Sometimes that is due to technology (social media, robotics, computers). Sometimes that is though new opportunities that the past of other generations did not have.
•The benefits specifically for youth include; increased academic achievement, reduced delinquent behavior and improved social-emotional skills. These relationships can foster more understanding between generations leading to respect and compassion.
