Food insecurity is when a country's population is not able to access to enough food. There are different reasons why countries have food insecurity. The first reason is because of weather. If a country is experiencing drought or flooding, then that food production will be less, and the citizens will not be able to buy foods. The second reason is because of political unrest. If there is war in the country, the government sometimes has to spend all their money on buying weapons for their army instead of buying food for their citizens.
