distance from A to B [tex]= \sqrt{(2-0)^{2} + (0-(-2))^{2}} = \sqrt{2^{2} + 2^{2}} = \sqrt{8} = 2 \sqrt{2} [/tex]

distance from B to C [tex]= \sqrt{(0-0)^{2} + ((-2)-(1))^{2}} = \sqrt{3^{2}} = 3 [/tex]
