While we were studying this yesterday, my teacher never said who was the Father of Geography but he did say the Father of History. but I believe since this person did amazing discoveries on both history and geography, I believe he is both.

It is Herodotus. It is due to the fact that  he was the first historian known to collect his materials systematically, test their accuracy to a certain extent and arrange them in a well-constructed and vivid narrative.
