Life Cycle of a Mosquito/Cockroaches
1. The female mosquito lays about 200 eggs on the surface of the water while cockroaches egg case contains 16 to 50 eggs.
2. Mosquitoes undergo four stages of development called complete metamorphosis.
3. Mosquitoes change from eggs to larvae; from larvae to pupae; from pupae to adult.
4. Cockroaches go through three stages called incomplete metamorphosis.
5. Cockroaches change from eggs to nymphs,then nymphs to adults. A nymph looks like a little adult but has no wings and is not yet able to reproduce.
