bakit naging negative yung ten sa no. 5 sa (x-2) (x+10) tapos ng binaba na naging
x=2 x=-10 bkit nabaliktad?? at yung naging length nya na ulit ay 10 nawala na yung -sign?/...need your answer plzzz....asap

( x - 2) (x + 10 ) = 0
tapos I separate, magiging ( x - 2 ) = 0 at (x + 10)= 0,
x - 2 = 0 (as usual, I move yong 2 (transpose) tapos magiging 2 ) tulad din ng x + 10 = 0 ( I move tapos magiging -10) ,
X = 2 and X = - 10 ...
as usual, wala namang dimension na may negative , para maging length kukunin yong negative at magihing positive..
its just like finding the zeroes or finding the roots.
(X+2)(X+10)=0
X+2=0                 ,X+10=0
X=-2                     X=-10,its because when you transpose it to another side of the equal sign it will change its (positive or negative)sign.

If you re asking of finding the length,your answer should always positve because there is no side of polygon that is negtive.

e.g.
THe square has a lenth of 8 meters...you can't say that the square has a length of -8 meters..
