Well, it is hard to compare festivals in many countries. But here is what I think.
In China, the Chinese New Year or the Spring Festival is the famous one. Let me guess, you know it right?
In Japan, Gion Matsuri, I think is the best and famous one.
And in our very own country, Pahiyas Festival is one of the most famous festival here in the Philippines.
