《Answer》
It's 14/15
《Step-by-step explanation》
Since it's dissimilar fraction get their LCD (Least Common Denominator) using any methods, then divide it to the original denominators and if you get the quotient multiply it into the numerator it will be the new numerator and just copy the LCD which is 15.
Add the numerators and copy the original denominator.
6/15 + 5/15 + 3/15 = 14/15
Therefore,the final answer is 14/15
Additional Knowledge:There are 3 things you should know if the fraction is in the lowest term.
- If the numerator is 1 it's automatically in the lowest term.
Ex. 1/2, 1/4, 1/5, 1/9, 1/3
- If the numerator and denominator are consecutive numbers and;
Ex. 2/3, 6/7, 9/10, 13/14, 20/21
- If the numerator and denominator has no common factors.
Ex. 19/27, 37/50, 2/9, 6/11, 4/9
(Note: always simplify and if possible and encircle your final answer.)
