Dental Amalgam is a mixture of 50% elemental Mercury with a Metallic alloy with mainly contains Silver and Tin.The liquid Mercury is mixed with the alloy powder in a 1 to 1 weight ratio.Most dental alloys contain a mixture of silver and tin in a 3 to 1 weight ratio,as well as a lesser portion of copper and zinc.
