Sagot :

Answer:

Elements are everything. Literally.

At least everything made of matter. No elements, no matter.

Elements are also important because of how they are formed. After the Big Bang, the earliest element to form was the lightest and simplest element: hydrogen. It is still the most abundant element in the Universe.

This is where stars come in.

Nuclear fusion that occurs in the inner core of stars is the cosmic forge that produces the lighter elements. By lighter, I mean elements that are lighter than iron and nickel on the periodic table. These elements get thrown out into the universe during stellar explosions called novae.

Up until very recently, nobody really knew how the heavier elements were formed. The best guess was that the heaviest elements formed during very rare events when massive neuron stars came close enough to each other to merge in titanic collisions followed by the ejection of matter.

Recently, the same detector that confirmed the existence of gravity waves detected just such a merger, and confirmed that heavy elements formed during this collision

COMPOUNDS

compounds is called “chemistry”. It is the basis of your body, your food, and many of the products of our daily life, but not everybody needs to know the details. You should study chemistry if you want a job that requires a knowledge of it, or just are curious about it.

I can make a case that the average person could benefit from a little bit of chemical knowledge, but the average person actually has virtually no such knowledge, and you'll get along as well as most people without any. compound was important cause it have a conclutions.
