Sagot :
Static electricity is actually produced when two INSULATORS are rubbed together..
Example:
1. Rubbing a pen(plastic) on your hair.....both materials are insulators..they cant pass current easily..thru rubbing, there is an accumulation of charge, and when this happens, an unbalanced charge between the two materials is produced..either of the two will gain or lose the negative charge we called electrons..
2. Lightning is a form of static electricity too.
3.Rubbing a rubber slipper on a plastic armchair.
