Derive the quadratic function if the roots are (-3,-2)

If the roots are (-3, -2) then x must be x= -3 and x = -2 which is 
x = -3
x + 3 = 0 
and
x = -2
x + 2 = 0
Multiplying both with give you the quadratic equation;
(x+3)(x+2)= x^2 + 5x + 6 = 0
