How to solve Quadratic Equations by Factoring?
w/ examples, please. :)

Sagot :

example: (x^2+ 6x+9)

to factor the quadratic equation, you have to identify 2 factors of the first term. The first term is 2^x, its factors are( x and x). then, identify also the factors of the last term. so the factor of 9 is (3 and 3). if all the signs in the equation are positive , then the signs are also positive.

so the answer is (x+3)(x+3)

example
r²-100=0
=r²-100+100=0+100
=√r²=√100
=r=+or-10
