The weight of a body is the product of its mass and the acceleration due to gravity at that location.
Since the acceleration due to gravity is different at various locations , the weight changes from place to place.
At the surface of the Earth the average value of acceleration due to gravity is [tex]9.81 m/s^2[/tex] and so the average weight will be 60 × 9.81 newton.
