Our hen has just hatched its eggs and the brood are a wonderful sight. The chicks are fluffy little balls clustered around their mother. There are tiny yellow ones with gray lines running down their backs, and there are plain yellow ones. There are brown little chicks and white little fellows. As I watch them, I am reminded of the little cosmos flowers growing plentifully in our garden. All the soft and rich colors are there. Chicks are golden yellow and white and reddish brown. As I look at the chicks, it seems that my cosmos flowers have acquired the move around and chirp.
