There are two main types of wood  

  • Hardwoods come from wide leaved and fruit-bearing trees.  
  • Softwoods come from cone-bearing trees with small leaves.  

Significance of Wood

As a building material, wood offers many environmental benefits that matter to communities across the country.

  2. Wood  keep carbon out of the atmosphere preventing climate change.
